Name Change, A Bold Move

I have been thinking about this for some time now, going back and forth not quite sure what the right thing to do is…

Its not that i did like the old name, i did in fact because i felt it described my music best

adj : of all varieties or forms or kinds

The only problem I really had is Omnifarious didn’t exactly roll off your tongue, but when you make a brand (hate calling it that) and people get to know it, you shouldn’t change it. I don’t think I have many fans out there but I do have friends/colleagues I have worked with in the past and if I change my name they may not be able to find me. Of course there is the process of actually going through the change, updating all the music, the album covers, and my profiles on various musician websites. Quite a task you just have to be up for it.

I think what finally helped make the decision for me was that it is time to add my music to the streaming platforms. Spotify, iTunes, Pandora, Youtube, and so on and so forth. I thought if I am about to put my music in front of millions of people then I might want to have a nice easy to remember, and easy to understand the name. I don’t think Omnifarious was understood I doubt many people took the time to look it up. I only have one track where the name Omnifarious is said in the track and that unfortunately I won’t be able to go back and change. Everything else is just time and effort, neither I have much of right now but my music is in the process of being distributed to these streaming services so the time is now.

I really just wanted to write up a bit of an explanation and hopefully, if any fan googles my old name it will take them right here and they will realize that this is indeed the person they are looking for.

So as of this moment Omnifarious after many many years becomes Oarca.

** I realize that some of this site needs to be updated still, like my “About Me” section. I am working on it my friends!

Release: Fallout

This album was intended to be the second full length collaboration between Omnifarious & Tracey Inkson, but because of scheduling issues on both ends it was unable to be completed in that manor. Now what we have here is a bit of a “mixed bag” as they say.

There are a few tracks featuring the wonderful Tracey Inkson, a few instrumentals and even a track featuring a hip hop vocalist!

What you can expect is Omnifarious’ patented style, albeit, a bit more mature then before. Which means its different from the get go.

From the opening track “Perfect World” to the brooding “Tesla” and finally on to the hip hop infused “Happily Ever After” you will no doubt remember that familiar sound and enjoy the new tracks.

If you enjoy the music please leave comments about it here, i give it away for free, all i ask for is feedback.

Full Size Album Art

Do you like the new website?

You have noticed the new website design, well if your on your PC that is. If your on a mobile device you will only see the mobile version (not the same).

Anyway, what do you think of the new layout? I made it this way to focus more on the music, i cut out a lot of the fat and go right down to the nitty gritty, so let me know what you think.

A few seconds…

I am very busy these days. Going to school, working, studying and some other personal things i wont get into.

However a quick update because i owe people that. All the music for the new album with Tracey Inkson has been composed. Currently 4 tracks have had the vocals recorded, so we are getting there slowly but surely. The new album title is FALLOUT and i think your gonna love it. Because i want to show you at least something i have attached the album art. Take a look, i hope you like it and i hope it gets you pumped to hear the new sounds.

You may (if you have been here before) notice that i have updated the look of the website. I like it, its smoother and simpler and WORKS. So while i had a few seconds to type this out i wanted to updated everyone, i miss being here but school its most important now, i only have a few months left and then i can relax and ill be here more often again.

One last note: i have decided to shy away from doing all my blogging here, i will from now on only be writing about my music or art. Lets face it, if i post a blog here with any sort of political rant or opinion to something in the news and i could potentially alienate some fans or possible fans because they will no longer judge me for my music but for that.

Vocal Mixing Has Begun

I was very happy to find the vocals for 2 songs in my email the other day 🙂

I have been mixing them for the past few days and I think they sound awesome, Tracey is the best she always makes these songs sound the way i wanted or better. That means there are 9 songs left, I’ll try to keep you guys updated and if you think I’m releasing these songs before they are all done your crazy 😉 sorry no sneak peaks.
